If you have been feeling creatively blocked, overwhelmed, or like your inner perfectionist has been making all the rules lately, I want to invite you to take a deep breath.

Autumn is the natural season to slow down, turn inward, and reset.

On Friday, 11th September, I begin the next cohort of the Creative Reset: Art Life Journaling Course. This is a structured, gentle 6-week journey designed specifically to help you quiet the mental chatter, move past creative paralysis, and rediscover the simple joy of creating just for yourself.

Here is the honest truth: you do not need to be an "artist" to do this. There are no masterpieces required, and there is absolutely no pressure.

Why this course is built differently:

Strictly 6 Places: I limit this cohort to just six women. There are no overwhelming crowds. It is a tiny, quiet, and deeply supportive environment.
Complete Privacy: Your journal is your safe space. You will never be asked to show your pages or share your words out loud unless you choose to.
Overcoming the Blank Page: Using my custom prompt cards, simple questions, and guided exercises, we bypass the fear of the blank page together.

Time to pause: Tea, biscuits, and breathing room ☕🍪

A massive part of healing our creativity is simply allowing ourselves the time to slow down. Our Friday mornings aren't just about putting pen to paper; they are a genuine pause in your week. Each session includes time for us to sit back together, enjoy a warm cup of tea (or coffee), and share a plate of delicious biscuits. It is a warm, unhurried space where you can let your guard down and just be.

Course Details & Payment Plans

When: Friday mornings, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm (Starting 11th September)
Where: Old Lakenham Community Centre, Norwich
Investment: £120 for the full 6 weeks (all materials and custom kits included)

Note on Budgeting: I want this space to be accessible. If an upfront payment feels heavy right now, please simply reply to this email. I am incredibly happy to set up a private, staged instalment plan that spreads the cost out comfortably for you.

Because we cap the group strictly at 6 seats to maintain a calm, therapeutic space, places move quietly behind the scenes.

ART JOURNAL CLUB

Art Journal Club, an in-person monthly meeting back in the cosy Upper Room at Lakenham, is open to everyone who completes the 6-week Art Life Journalling course. Art Journal Club is drop-in and costs £5 per session. It's a chance to have a catch up with alumni from all the Creative Reset: Art Life Journalling cohorts, swap ideas and stories and drink tea. Your first session is free! Art Journal Club gives artists the opportunity to build on the shared connection, reflection and gentle accountability you'll have found so inspiring during the six week course.

The group is very new, but as it develops we'll have gentle art activities, skill sharing opportunities and even live podcast recordings!

COPY CATS AT THE CAT HOUSE CONTINUES

SEPTEMBER COMMUNITY ART CLUB NEWS

There is a NEW Community Art Club starting in Thetford on 2nd September, and Bunwell and Thompson clubs are returning to their regular slots after the summer break. All the details are on the posters included with this newsletter.

We had a fabulous time visiting the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge during our August break. If you hit this link it will take you to our Facebook page for a quick video of the day!

Unfortunately, due to venue closure, the Kenninghall Evening Community Art Club has stopped for now - but feelers are out for a new venue- watch this space, as they say.
